2013 was a rough year for deaths in Tinseltown, and it turns out that James Avery was the last celebrity to die before the New Year.

According to a TMZ report, the “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” star passed away in his Los Angeles hospital room on New Year’s Eve (December 1) at 65 years of age.
