He performed at a concert in Times Square on New Year's Eve

LOS ANGELES , USA ( 02/ENE/2012 ) - . The teen pop idol Justin Bieber presented his condolences Wednesday - asked while tougher laws against the paparazzi , after a photographer was killed on the road while trying to achieve a photo of Ferrari singer .

The LAPD said the popular star of 18 years of Canadian origin was not in his luxury sports car when he was stopped for speeding on New Year and not indentificado photographer who witnessed the event was taking pictures and I was hit by another vehicle.

"Although I was not present or directly involved in this tragic accident , my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim," Bieber said in a statement posted on several websites of U.S. shows.

"Hopefully this tragedy will inspire legislation and any other necessary to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers , public innocent passerby and photographers same step ," he added .

Photographer Los Angeles Mauvilain Thibault told reporters who were there in the scene a photographer friend named Chris , who was "not a paparazzo , but just another guy in New Mexico " was .

Bieber , who performed at a concert in Times Square on the last night of the year, has a long list of incidents with the paparazzi. In May allegedly hit one in a parking lot , but no charges were filed against him.
