The State Parks district superintendent who granted the pop singer access to the premises was reportedly placed on administrative leave “until further notice.” Although many believe Nick Franco’s decision ultimately resulted in his suspension, a spokesperson rrefused to confirmed reports as of this writing.
Several people noticed Franco’s absence when Lady Gaga and her crew headed to Hearst Castle to shoot the music video for her latest single “G.U.Y.” An anonymous source told The Tribune that the superintendent was reportedly instructed to stay away from the premises while the shoot was taking place.
However, sources said the singer worked out a deal with Steve Hearst to fill the pool using irrigation reservoirs on the castle’s property. Lady Gaga also donated around $250,000 to the Hearst Castle Preservation Board so the leaks could be repaired.
The “Applause” singer coughed up $22,000 in permits and $25,000 to the Cambria Community Services District as well. Lady Gaga also agreed to do public service announcements about the California drought due to her popularity on social media. Governor Jerry Brown seemed to approve of Mother Monster’s contributions.
